Kosta glass and elk

The Erasmus Network at the University of Linköping, organized a trip by bus. Corbi and I decided to ride. It first went south in the small town of Kosta.
Here are the first glass factory in Sweden. It was founded in 1742 and was the only Royal Swedish glass blowing.
Previously the focus was on window glass and bottles. Today is here mainly designer goods produced. More than 100 glass-blowers working here and a glass blowing school is also located on the site. The famous Kosta glass is sold around the world.
won by the glass factory in the area Importance and today is located next to the factory a large shopping center. Corbi
For me and the factory tour was really nothing new, since we knew through the glass industry in the Bavarian forest anyway much about it.
Then we drove a few miles to a moose park. There we made a "moose safari". We could walk through the forest at the enclosure fence. We saw very few elk. First, probably because the enclosure was so huge and also because moose are more active at dawn. Nevertheless, we saw a moose cow and her calf and 2 adult moose. They looked rather sad and depressing to us. But otherwise very nice animals and somehow comical creatures.
An adult moose can be up to 2.50 m tall and 500 kg are. In Elchshop
were then to buy various souvenirs. From clothing and furs from elk to elk sausages and Elchburger.
happen every day in Sweden, about 15 accidents with moose. There are about 300,000 moose in Sweden, with one third each year as shot during the hunting season.
