This year's Kiel Week Canoe Polo tournament is dedicated to Hans and Helga Abraham, the club have made significant and sustained, but now both have unfortunately died. Better weather they would not want can, for both days seems to shut out the sun full strength on Active and organizers.
the anniversary edition of this tournament the club had made a special effort to make the event fondly. On a wall of photographs, there were impressions from the past 40 years to admire. The participants shown there of the first German women's polo team are largely accepted our invitation, just like the two world champions Ortrud Kibbe and Kristina Weber. Even a representative of the city proved to be the tournament's honor and spoke a few words of welcome. And finally, after many years there was a reunion with Anna Jammer - formerly Kruse, now the Norwegian national team trained.
for the winning teams this time there was very much to take home with them: in addition to all sorts of practical matters also have a short briefing by Gerdi how to properly eat sprats! The well planned and efficient organization, it ensured that the tournament along with prize-giving ceremony in time to the end was that we could all watch together the great knockout round match of the German against the English team at the World Cup!
