Day five

Our last day for forerst The last time we have our car with everything we brought fully loaded and made our way home . We are North-West to 1000 Islands region down and have a small break in the Alexandria Bay made. A tourist town like Virginia Beach, from there we went directly via I-90 back home. After a long day in the car we were happy to bed us in our own bed. We have put 1000 miles on our car back, well I have replaced oil and oil filter before our trip.

Day four

Three days have passed and our time is already here in the Adirondacks almost back to. So far we have not yet climbed a mountain here but we both want to at least have climbed the mountain entirely, so we have opened in the northern part where the mountains are a little bigger. After we have our tent set up on our last camping place, near the "Whiteface Mountain, we are driven to the foot of the mountain. This mountain, and especially the town of Lake Placid were the venues for the Olympic Winter Games in 1930 and 1980. Having a short walk one stuck far up the mountain are followed, we had the rest of the mountain on the ski slopes rising up. Relatively steep, with the advantage to quickly get up and out to enjoy a beautiful view, the way was pretty exhausting for Elizabeth, I too had it not so easy. Once at the approximate halfway point where all the other people take the elevator, we have a little break eingeleg strengthen us to something and take photos. From here we went up only steeper, but to get a little easier, here are the stones were small and not as slippery as further down the mountain. Almost reached the top, we had to climb properly, there were ropes attached to a big boulder climbing aid. arrived directly below the top, we have been looking forward to a quiet break, especially because we have not seen anyone come up or down. The moment where we could make the first clear view of the open mountain top, we could not believe how full it was. All who have made it to the top high above the highway the other side will come up. We could not see or hear them WHILE we climbed high on the opposite side. Once there we waited in the weather tower to relate to large cloud the view of the valleys has given freely, then we have made many photos and have risen all the way back down. The total ascent and descent with breaks was 5 ¼ hours. We were both really happy and tired when we arrived at choosing Smart car. As a reward, we ate in Lake Placid at a Greek restaurant for dinner and then have gone to sleep 8:30 pm.
